Live data
AED talks to your car's engine computer (ECM) over ALDL and shows the same live engine and transmission information you'd find in factory tools, on a modern instrument-style dash display.
Fault codes
Read current and history fault codes from the engine computer, and clear them once the problem is fixed.
Logging
Viewing live data isn't always enough, or it's too much to take in at once. AED saves live logging sessions so you can replay them in your own time, and keep records of sensor outputs to compare with future logs.
AED reads engine and transmission data over ALDL on VR to VY Commodores and the WK V6. LS1 V8s and VZ, WL, VE and VF models use OBD2 for the engine: for those, use Software on ELM Street (SOE).

No. This listing is the software only. AED is designed for use with our ALDL Cable v2, sold separately. Already have an Envyous ALDL cable? You can use it with AED.
No. Engine data on LS1 V8s and on VZ, VE and VF Commodores uses OBD2. For those cars, use Software on ELM Street (SOE) with our ELM327 OBD2 cable.
Each licence registers the software to one computer. A licence serial can only be used once and can't be transferred to another computer later. See Software Licensing for the details.
Yes. Registration needs an internet connection, and offline activation isn't available.
A genuine, activated copy of Windows 10 or 11. Virtual machines and emulators aren't supported. See Computer Requirements.
Your licence serial is emailed to you after purchase and is also available in your account. Download the software installer from our Downloads page.
Make a full image backup of your computer after you register the software. Licences can't be reissued, so the backup is how you get your licence back after a crash or wipe.
