This ECU is only for the VZ-platform Alloytec V6 (3.6L LE0 or LY7). It is not for VZ V8s (LS1 / L76 / L98), VE/VF V6, VT–VY V6 (Ecotec) or any other model. If you’re unsure, email us your VIN before ordering and we’ll confirm the right ECU for your car.

The replacement ECU must be security linked to your vehicle before it will start. This is the process of programming your car’s 4-digit immobiliser code and key information into the engine computer so it’s permitted to crank and run the engine. You’ve got two options:
Post in your vehicle’s original Body Control Module (BCM), Powertrain Interface Module (PIM) and ignition key with the order. We’ll security link the replacement ECU to those parts before sending everything back.
We obtain your immobiliser code ourselves — you don’t need to supply it.
A Holden dealership or any workshop with compatible scantool tooling (e.g. GM Tech2) can perform the security link. We supply a step-by-step guide with your order showing the exact Tech2 procedure — the same steps apply to other suitable scantools.
The workshop will need your 4-digit immobiliser code. Call your local Holden Dealership with proof of ownership to obtain it.
