The FVC module is intentionally lean — the only programming option exposed for it is the VIN security link. Calibration of the camera image itself is performed by the OEM and not user-serviceable.
The Front View Camera (FVC) on your VF Commodore or HSV Gen-F is the windscreen-mounted forward-facing camera that feeds the Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and (where fitted) Auto High Beam systems. When the FVC is replaced — usually after windscreen replacement, an accident, or a known fault — the new module needs to be security linked to your VIN before the car’s other modules will accept its data.
All programming is done in the vehicle via OBD-II using OBDSync on a Windows laptop — no need to remove or ship the FVC.
The FVC security link uses 1 token, but the OBDSync kit ships with a 2-token serial as standard — so you’ll have 1 spare token left on your account that you can apply to any other supported module job in the future.
