The VE Series 2 IQ Radio has factory provisions for Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) — video and audio inputs on the back of the radio that can be used to feed a DVD player, aftermarket media kit, gaming console or any AV source into the centre display.
From the factory those inputs are disabled in software, even though the connectors are physically there. This service enables the RSE menu on the radio so the inputs become active — you (or your installer) can then wire your media source into the video and audio pins, and it’ll appear as an AV / RSE source on the IQ screen.
All done at home using the included OBDSync scantool and token redemption serial — no shipping the radio anywhere. The same OBDSync software also unlocks a range of other IQ Radio settings (see below).

Enabling RSE in software is half the job. To actually wire your media source into the back of the IQ radio, you’ll need physical video and audio input harnesses that mate with the factory connector pins on the radio.
We do not supply these harnesses — they must be sourced separately. Options include wreckers, factory parts suppliers, or auto-electrician fabricated harnesses to a known pinout.

OBDSync runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit only). A laptop is recommended so you can sit in the car with the scantool plugged into the OBD-II port. A free USB-A port is required.
