Custom-program a HSV E3 Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) module to suit your Holden VE Commodore or HSV E-Series (2006–2013). We reprogram the model type, build number, transmission, engine and more to match your destination vehicle.
Plug-and-play into a HSV E3 vehicle only. Fitting into any other VE / HSV requires additional wiring (customer-sourced) and radio programming.

Reprogram a HSV E3 EDI module to fit and operate as a factory unit in any Holden VE Commodore or VE-based HSV. We rewrite the model, build number, transmission and engine settings to match your destination vehicle — turning a donor unit into a clean, plug-and-play upgrade.
The HSV Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) is a small black MoTeC control module fitted to HSV E3 vehicles. It has no screen of its own — instead, it plugs into the vehicle and feeds a series of extra performance and gauge screens to the factory Series 2 IQ radio’s display, giving you lap times, live gauges, G-force, fuel economy and more.
Our service takes a donor HSV E3 EDI you supply and reprograms it to suit your destination vehicle. We change the model identity, build number, transmission, engine type and other configuration so the EDI behaves as if it were factory-fitted — whether you’re moving it between HSVs or fitting one to a regular Holden VE Commodore.
This is a ship-in only service — the programming requires our hardware here in-house and is not available as a DIY / OBDSync option.
Once installed, the EDI adds a multi-page performance interface to the factory Series 2 IQ radio’s display, packed with data screens:
Programming can target any of the following destination vehicles. We’ll match your EDI to your VIN at programming time.
The EDI is a small black MoTeC control module about the size of a deck of cards. It has no screen of its own — it tucks behind the dash and pipes its extra menu screens through to the factory Series 2 IQ radio’s display. You can source one from wreckers, eBay or any donor HSV E3 (Clubsport, GTS, Maloo, Senator, Grange).
Note: EDI modules were only fitted to HSV E3 (2010–2013) vehicles. Earlier HSV E1 and E2 vehicles did not use this module.
Each unit is bespoke-programmed to suit your destination vehicle. We configure:
Choose from any of the 12 HSV variants below. The EDI displays the matching logo on the splash screen, and the vehicle picture shown on certain screens automatically reflects the body style of the chosen model.
If you’re fitting a programmed E3 EDI into another HSV E3 vehicle, the connector matches directly and no additional wiring or radio programming is required.
Holden VE Commodores and earlier HSV vehicles do not have the connector the E3 EDI plugs into, and their Series 2 IQ radio also needs to be programmed to accept the EDI’s display feed. To fit one you will need a wiring loom adapter plus additional radio programming.
The wiring loom is not supplied by us and must be sourced separately on your side. Options include wreckers, HSV specialist suppliers, or fabricating one to a known wiring diagram. We can program the EDI to suit your vehicle, but the physical install & wiring is the customer’s responsibility.
If you’re unsure whether your install needs an adapter or radio programming, get in touch before ordering and we’ll confirm based on your VIN.
All of the programming details are collected directly on the product page when you add it to your cart, including:
If anything is unclear or we need to confirm a detail, we’ll reach out via email before programming begins.
This listing is for the programming service only — a HSV E3 EDI module is not supplied. Source one second-hand from any HSV E3 (2010–2013).
