Program a replacement Body Control Module (BCM) to your Holden VE or HSV E-Series — the programming required after fitting a second-hand BCM to restore locking, lighting, immobiliser and other body-system functions.
DIY at home using the included OBDSync scantool and a 3-token redemption serial that you redeem onto your own OBDSync account. All four programming stages — calibration flash, VIN security link, SDM primary key learn and brake pedal position learn — are done back-to-back in the vehicle, in a single session.
Important: Use a donor BCM with the same part number (or a superseded part number) as your original — contact a Holden dealer or parts outlet with your VIN to confirm the correct part number before fitting.
Restore locking, lighting, immobiliser and other body-system functions after fitting a replacement second-hand Body Control Module (BCM). This DIY kit ships with an OBDSync scantool and a 3-token redemption serial (which you redeem onto your own OBDSync account), then lets you program the new BCM at home — no shipping, no workshop visit.
Holden VE Body Control Modules (BCMs) are known to fail and cause a wide range of vehicle electrical issues. Common symptoms include:
The fix is to fit a working second-hand BCM. But the module needs to be programmed to your vehicle’s calibrations and details before it will function correctly.
This kit provides everything you need to do that yourself — the OBDSync scantool, a 3-token redemption serial, and the programming function. All four programming stages are completed back-to-back in the vehicle, in a single session.
The replacement BCM must be the same part number as your original — or a superseded part number for that part. Contact a Holden dealer or parts outlet with your VIN to confirm the correct part number(s) for your vehicle before purchasing a donor unit.
Not all BCMs are interchangeable across the VE / HSV range — using the wrong part number may result in the BCM not working once installed.

Provide your VIN at checkout. We ship the OBDSync scantool together with a printed 3-token redemption serial.
Download & install OBDSync (Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit). Create or sign in to your OBDSync account, then enter your redemption serial to add the 3 tokens to your own account.
With the new BCM fitted to the car, plug the scantool into the OBD-II port and run the 4-stage in-car programming sequence in OBDSync (see below).
All four stages are performed in the vehicle, one after the other, in a single OBDSync session — with the new BCM physically fitted and the car’s ignition in the appropriate position:
Loads the correct firmware and calibration data into the new BCM for your vehicle.
Binds the BCM to your vehicle’s VIN to clear the vehicle/data mismatch fault.
Re-pairs your primary key to the new BCM so the immobiliser will authorise start.
Calibrates the brake pedal’s released / pressed reference points so the BCM reads pedal travel correctly.
Works on all Holden VE Commodore and HSV E-Series vehicles (2006–2013):
OBDSync runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit only). A laptop is recommended so you can sit in the car with the scantool plugged into the OBD-II port. A free USB-A port is required.
When you add this product to your cart you’ll be asked for your VIN so we can verify the kit is suitable for your vehicle. Your scantool and printed token redemption serial are dispatched once your order is processed — you then redeem that serial yourself inside OBDSync to apply the tokens to your account.
DIY kit only — no need to ship your BCM anywhere. Program the new module from your driveway.
