A replacement PSCM without the torque sensor learn and steering-angle centring procedure can lead to pulling, off-centre steering wheel, or assist drop-out at speed. Run all four operations included in this kit before driving.
The Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) on your RG Colorado is the brain for the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system — it reads driver torque input from the column sensor and commands the steering motor to provide variable assist. When the PSCM (or steering column assembly) is replaced, the new unit needs to be security linked to your VIN, taught the torque sensor zero point, and have the steering wheel angle sensor centred before the EPS will operate correctly.
All programming is done in the vehicle via OBD-II using OBDSync on a Windows laptop — no need to remove or ship the PSCM.
