The Park Brake Control Module (PBCM) in your Chevrolet SS drives the electric parking brake motor and reads the in-cabin handbrake switch position. When you swap in a replacement or second-hand PBCM, it must be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle and the handbrake position sensor learned before the electric park brake will apply and release correctly.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
