The Engine Control Module (ECM) in your Chevrolet SS manages fuel injection, ignition timing, throttle response, idle control, AFM, and the immobiliser handshake for the 6.2L LS3 V8. The SS was built at Holden’s Elizabeth plant on the same WN platform as the VF Commodore SS, so the ECM family is shared. When you fit a replacement or second-hand ECM, it must be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle, crankshaft position variation re-learned after engine work, and on 6-speed manual cars the clutch pedal position re-learned after pedal or clutch replacement.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
