Program your Chevrolet Caprice PPV (2014–2017) Steering Column Lock Module (SCLM) at home — flash the latest factory calibrations and VIN-security-link a replacement to clear the “Steering Locked” no-start fault. DIY OBDSync kit — includes the scantool plus 3 tokens.
The same kit also programs other Caprice PPV modules (BCM, IPC, ECM, TCM, EBCM, Mylink radio and more) — each is licensed separately and may need one or more tokens, at $50 per token.
Flash the latest factory calibrations to your Caprice PPV Steering Column Lock Module and VIN-security-link a replacement SCLM. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus 3 tokens so you can complete the programming yourself — and unlock dozens of other Caprice PPV module functions too — from home.
The Steering Column Lock Module (SCLM) in your 2014–2017 Caprice PPV drives the anti-theft steering column lock pin that engages when the ignition is off. When the SCLM fails, the dash shows “Steering Locked” and the car will not crank or start. When you fit a replacement or second-hand SCLM, it must be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle and the latest calibrations flashed before the lock will release.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
Same kit, more capability: the OBDSync software also programs the BCM, IPC, ECM, TCM, ABS/EBCM, Mylink radio, HVAC and other 2014–2017 PPV modules. Each additional module is licensed separately with its own tokens, and some modules need more than one token (tokens are $50 each), so once you’ve got the kit you can take care of future programming any time — just add the tokens you need.
This kit unlocks the full set of Steering Column Lock Module functions available through OBDSync for your Caprice PPV (2014–2017):
