The Keyless Entry Module (KEM) in your 2014–2017 Caprice PPV handles remote door lock / unlock requests from the key fob and acts as the radio receiver for the keyless entry system. When the KEM is replaced — or you want to push the latest factory calibrations — the unit needs to be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
