The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) in your Caprice PPV is the speedo, tacho, fuel and temperature gauges, warning lights, odometer, and the Driver Information Centre. It has to be configured for the exact body / engine / transmission combination in your specific car — including Police Mode and the PPV-specific calibrations — to function correctly. When you fit a replacement or second-hand cluster it must be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle before the immobiliser and odometer are recognised.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
