The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) in your Chevrolet SS is the central driver display — speedo, tacho, fuel and temperature gauges, warning lights, odometer, Driver Information Centre and the famous hidden Performance Menu (0–60, lap timer, G-meter). It has to be configured for the exact build you own — including Heads Up Display, nav, TPMS, Magnetic Ride Control warning, bulb-out warnings for each headlight / brake light / plate light, and (on the monochrome clusters) transmission fluid temperature and fuel-alcohol mix. When you fit a replacement or second-hand cluster, it must be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle before the immobiliser and odometer are recognised.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
