The HVAC (Climate Control) module in your Pontiac G8 controls cabin temperature, blower fan speed, air distribution, A/C compressor engagement and the air-mix actuator motors. The G8 ships in either single-zone or dual-zone climate trim — if you swap the module from a donor car with different zone fitment, the HVAC has to be reconfigured for the correct zone type, and any new actuator motors have to learn their end-stops before the climate system operates correctly.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
