The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) in your Caprice PPV handles ABS, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, brake pressure modulation, and the police-spec high-speed brake calibration. When you fit a replacement or second-hand EBCM, it must be VIN-security-linked to your vehicle before ABS / ESC will operate, and the steering angle sensor needs to be re-learned for ESC to apply the correct correction.
This is a DIY kit. We ship you an OBDSync scantool plus the tokens needed to license the module — you run the programming yourself at home using a Windows laptop, and the module never has to leave your vehicle.
