The Heated Seat Module (HSM) in your JH Cruze controls the front-seat heater elements and the dash heated-seat switches. Fitted to higher-spec JH variants (most commonly SRi-V and Equipe). When the HSM is replaced — or you want to push the latest factory calibrations — the unit needs to be security linked to your VIN before the seats heat correctly.
All programming is done in the vehicle via OBD-II using OBDSync on a Windows laptop — no need to remove or ship the HSM.
