The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) module on your VF Commodore or HSV Gen-F controls the climate control system — blower speeds, mode selection, single / dual / tri-zone temperature settings, defrost and the A/C compressor request. When the HVAC module is replaced it needs to be security linked to your VIN and loaded with the correct calibrations for your specific zone configuration.
All programming is done in the vehicle via OBD-II using OBDSync on a Windows laptop — no need to remove or ship the HVAC module.

OBDSync runs on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit only). A laptop is recommended so you can sit in the car with the scantool plugged in. A free USB-A port is required.
